Updated: Jul 7, 2022

Everyone has heard of the hit songs Shake it Off, Bad Blood, Love Story, and You Belong With Me. These singles have reached millions of views, but nobody stops to realize all the hard work behind the scenes. Taylor Swift not only built up her own music career, but she also raised our next generation of other talented musicians in the industry.

Swift started her career with her debut single, Tim McGraw back in June of 2006. The song was listed on Billboard’s Top 100 for over 20 weeks. Her music was centered around country, but in the past fifteen years, she’s branched out to pop music as well.

One of Taylor Swift’s most famous songs is Love Story, which was released in 2008. She wrote this song in twenty-seven minutes when she was only eighteen years old! The single was about Taylor’s parents not accepting her boyfriend. The song was written in one of her school notebooks, but ended up being one of the most successful songs in her entire career!

After publishing Love Story, Swift created a remake of the song. This version was supposed to shed light on her true love story; music. The music video features some of Taylor’s encounters with her fans. Her goal was to thank her fans for her platform and everything that she’s been given throughout her journey as a musician.

Taylor Swift is one of the kindest celebrities in the world and always gives back to the community. She has provided her unfortunate fans with money and shares her personal struggles with her fandom. Taylor Swift never takes her fans for granted and her goal with music is to inspire others to do the same. Some “Swifties” are Conan Gray, Olivia Rodrigo, Selena Gomez, Camila Cabello, Halsey, and Sara Bareilles. Ask any of these rising artists who inspires them, and they will all say Taylor Swift.

Taylor Swift’s main motivation to push herself in her career are her fans. Swift has been through a lot; including a sexual assault trial and multiple eating disorders in her life. Taylor once said, “There are two ways you can get through pain. You can let it destroy you, or you can use it as fuel to drive you: to dream bigger, work harder.”

Having a passion is like growing a plant. In order to keep it alive, you have to keep working at it and trying new skills. Taylor puts so much work and effort into all of her music, and she is successful primarily through her passion and motivation. She truly is the mother of music.
